“I want candy”

nope i’m not a Nick Carter fan.

we can’t afford vegetables anymore, buying raspberries will cost you a fortune, people bicycle and walk to avoid spending their wages on gas, everybody noticed that lately it’s not “la vie en rose”. Thank God we can still offer ourselves a break from all this stress and get some candies while chatting with our friends, get popcorn to a movie or a fresh coke after a very hot day. Well, they wanna take that away from us. In order to reduce obesity ! some scientists are thinking it would be a good idea to tax the “fat” food. the one we like, let’s face it.  so now not only you’re “poor” but you can’t afford the 5 second of “happiness” of smelling a chocolate bar before eating eat, of choosing candies at the bakery… UNFAIR.

  1. I heard about this idea of taxing fat- and sugar-rich foods and I thought, “HOW COMPLETELY MORONIC!”

I agree with you- sometimes all it takes is a little chunk of chocolate to set the world aright. Why is it MY responsibility to pay a penalty for other people’s consistent poor choices?

If western nations want to reduce obesity, I think we should quit acting like being hugely fat is okay.

Check out this guy’s blog- he doesn’t pull any punches when it comes to obesity issues.
