on tuesday i went to Göteborg, the 2nd biggest city in Sweden, for work. I gave a presentation in a high school. Was pretty cool. I had already been to the city once last summer, and since it was just for a day i didnt really have time to visit.
But in the evening my collegue and i went to the opening of the Vetenskapfestival (science festival). It was sooo cool ! We did some fun experiments, then we went to the Universeum, a great museum/aquarium. Really beautiful and fun place !!

We had wine and “amuse bouche” in the biggest aquarium i have ever seen, they had an arche and we had a huge shark over us !!!! quite scary !

I was wearing my “giving a presentation in front of kids 3 years younger than me” dress

oh, and i got sooo disapointed when i learned that Jane Goodall was the guest of honor of the Festival last year !!! I was this close to cry ! she is like my living heroe !!  If i never mentioned it here, i ADORE monkeys and more precisely, GORILLAS !

I am soooo sore !! i can barely move  !  i went something crazy yesterday. I went to the gym before work, from 6h45 to 7h30 am !!!!! ( apparently swedish people do that)

It was a class called Body Pump and when i registered i had no idea what it was. Turns out they were using weights !!!  I got a little worried at first ( and btw, i had the lighter weights in the whole class and it was still too heavy) but turned out to be really fun !  It really woke me up and afterwards i felt really good ! The hardest part actually was to shower in front of everyone…. really not used to this.( Apparently swedish people do that too)

Here are some pictures of my week in Paris at the beginning of February. That’s my cousin Juliette, she is 11, she is georgous and i think she has soooo much style already !

annnd the ceiling of the Galeries la Fayette…because it’s pretty 🙂

so i went to my swedish class tonight. With my classes at the embassy at lunch, i have 6 hours of swedish a week…. but it’s not enough, i feel im sooo bad !

Tonight we spoke about food (mat), and i was soo hungry ! I got home at 9pm and cooked. That might sound totally boring but for me it’s a first. Appart from crêpes and making myself a sandwich, i never ever cook. (meatballs, rice and a cucumber) and it was ok, but för salt (Too much salt).

Now, some basic rules on super adorable plates we got from Crispin !!

” I do not put my elbows on the table”

“I do not put my knife in my mouth”

” I sit straight at the table”

We did it !

ok so i left home (Paris) at 9h30 am and arrived home (Stockholm) at 7h pm. I took 2 buses, 1 train, 3 subways, 2 planes in 36hours and i’m exhausted ! Really and truly tired and feeling a little..bla. My mom picked me up at the airport yesterday morning at 9am, we had a great FRENCH breakfast at home, my puppy recognized me ! but he’s so big, he’s not a puppy anymore ! Then we spent the day in Paris shopping for new shoes, having hot chocolate and cookies at Starbucks…it was awesome.

At 6pm we met in front of La Sorbonne Panthéon with my friends and parents. Ok so we didn’t have gowns and hats, i was a little disapointed but guys suited up and well, so did girls. It was nice. We were called one by one to grab our diploma, and i reached my personal goal, “AB mention” 🙂  Then we had champagne and petits fours, it was fun to talk to everyone again, most of them are looking for jobs so im feeling super lucky i found this one. After a while my parents grew bored and we went out for diner with my sister. Before going to bed i watched the most disturbing docummentary about the revival of the KKK in the US… some people are so scary.  And before i knew it it was wednesday morning and i had to leave 😦

I’m back with 2 new pairs of shoes, a new beret, new gloves and a borrowed sweater i need to show you guys soon. But for now the plan is :

Mean girls + m&m’s peanuts butter (we recieved a box full of them from my dearest Sash today !!!)  and hot bath !!!!

congrats to me :-)

So, here we go, next tuesday im going to Paris for 2 days, and tuesday evening i’ll get my very first (and i assume last) graduation!!

For most people it’s normal. For french people…it never happens. You finish high school or university well good for you, if you’re lucky they’ll send your diploma in the mail, if not, you just pick it up in an office (usually open between 10am and 10.05 am).

Anyway, this year they do it BIG. I’m getting my Master.  It feels unreal. I’m excited though. It’s nice to have something to look forward to. Work is just…overwhelming. I wake up in the morning feeling im already behind. Doesnt feel so nice. Im planning on registering to an evening swedish class, i so want to learn! It’s so frustrating to walk around and not being able to read newspapers or order in a coffee place…of course they speak english perfectly…but still. Frustrated i am.

So anyway, appart from work not much happened lately… but sometimes i just come across the cuttest people in the subway…

CooL. J’ai hate. Question boulot c’est la course.
