Sooo…breakfast today was just CRAAAAAZY. We went to that place called Portage Bay cafe that serves the biggest pancakes i have ever had and on top of that you can add as many/much raspberries, strawberries, maple syrop and whipped cream as you want, as many times as you want.
i have too admit i was not able to finish everything. It was monstrous.
After a few hours we managed to move again and took a tour of Seattle University.
and after a really disappointing shopping trip we drove to the beach.
In the evening, we went to see the STORM (the Seattle women NBA team) play thanks to Sash’s friends who actually own the team ! It was a great game, so much fun, many punches, damn those women are big…unfortunatly they lost 😦
This weekend i discovered a new theory. If someone hates the two things you would die for (foodwise) you can not get along.
As you may already all know those two things for me are goat cheese and raspberries. I met someone this weekend who uttered the words ” I don’t mind what we eat as long as it does not involve raspberry or goat cheese”. I almost had a heart attack.
What if we could mix raspberry and goat cheese…gosh i would try that !
2 or 3 weeks ago we organized a Smoothie Contest at our place with 6 of our friends. We provided the milk and yoghurt, everyone had to bring their fruits. It was really serious. We had a table to fill in with grades from 0 to 5 for each smoothie judging the aspect & the texture, the balance of the blending, the risk taking and the name !! It was so much fun ! And most of the time…so good. Eventhough after 7 tries we all felt kinda sick.
älskling ended up winning with his all fruit cocktail “absolut frutti”. He got his prize (Kinder eggs) and his diploma 😉
On saturday, sun was shinning over Paris. Mom, Crispin and I took a walk in the beautiful city, and had a wonderful hot chocolate at Angelina with amazing cookies. It was a perfect afternoon. Angelina is the most wonderful Salon de thé, it’s so chic. Their chocolate is so delicious. I felt like royalty.
this is my “don’t bother me while i’m eating a raspberry” look
samedi dernier, le soleil brille sur Paris, et c’est idéal pour un gouter chez Angelina, le meilleur chocolat chaud du monde, des gateaux extraordinaires dans un décor magnifique. Perfect.
So we bought a blender. And we bought fruits. And we mixed them with milk and yogourt. And BAM, SMOOTHIES !!!
This is how stupidly excited we were about our first smoothie !
this weekend was like a raspberry kiss.
I was back in France for 3 days to celebrate my aunt’s 50s bday ! And for the first time in a while we were all there together. Mom and her four brothers and sisters. Dad, Crispin and our 13 cousins. Mario…everyone. We had a blast. Ate, sang, laughted, overslept and shopped.
my friend Amandine was here last week.
We met when we were 4 years old.
We’ve been around each other for ever but lately we didn’t have more than 30 min every time to get together.
So those 4 days were really cool !
have to run to work now so i’ll leave you with one of the best thing on earth
today was a bad day. Really stupid bad day. One hour at the gym and raspberry icecream did help a little.
Now the only two good things about today:
- i picked up my lens at the Optician and when i asked for them in Swedish, the lady said my swedish was good !!! (doesn’t matter that we had to switch to english right after that)
- My new petit BAG !!!! present from mom, it matches my coat PERFECTLY !
I had a lovely sunday. Woke up around 10 and got ready for BRUNCH with my friends. I had been advised the Café String just 5 min from my appartment. It was AWESOME. Just 65sek (about 6.50 euros) and a buffet of crêpes, jam, eggs, cheeses, ham, bread, cereals, tea, juices…in a great atmoshpere in comfortable chairs and couches. They serve from 10h30 to 1pm and the place is always full !
So we stayed there around an hour and then went around the corner to Beyond Retro
i liked the whole Alice in wonderland theme
then we decided to meet some friends for tea and went back to the café String 😉 I SOOO recommand this place if you every come to Stockholm !
At 5 i went to see a documentary called Eyes Wide Open: exploring today’s South America. It was in spanish subtitled in english so i got a little confused, understanding quite a lot in spanish but still reading the subtitle… anyway, It was good. really interesting.
Now it’s time for this:
I made it through my first weekend alone…
so…älskling left Sweden today… the boat is sailing towards Africa. Damn i woke up feeling miserable. I m off for 2 days and have no idea what to do. Im so confused. I hate not being able to reach him. Ever. He’s the one who can call. I can’t.
I so wish i would be home with my family. Have our weekend routine with huge breakfast, walking the dog, watching stupid shows… pffffff
So i bought myself a big kannelbulle, watched Extreme Make Over (and cried as always), and i think i might try to bake a quiche later.
today the cute Erica from Sweats and Heart left me a comment saying she was going to Paris for the first time in May, and i thought of all places i’m missing there.
